Sonic first Jump into the modern era is with Sonic Adventure for the Sega Dreamcast. In this game Sonic and all of his friends must stop Dr. Eggman from Conquering the world by using Chaos, the god of destruction that was sealed in the Master emerald after the great war when almost all the echidna's was wiped out. In the end Chaos was defeated and his heart was restored to normal. In Sonic Adventure 2 Shadow the Hedgehog was release by Dr. Eggman and then tries to use the Space Colony Ark to crash into the earth but was stopped by remembering Maria Robotnik then stops the Ark from crashing into the earth. In Shadow the hedgehog Shadow is met by a leader of an alien race called the black arms and figure out that the Black arms DNA is inside of Shadow. Dr. Gerold told Shadow that the eclipse cannon was made to destroy the Black arms Mothership, The Black Comet. In sonic Colors Eggman builds an Interstellar Amusement Park apparently out of a sense of remorse for his past transgression and was in no way any sort of evil plot. Sonic soon learns that eggman was going to mind control the Earth so that no one will stop him. Eggman's plan backfire and is left to travel the vastness of space. That is when he met the primordial from of the time eater which could erase time and used it to undo his previous defeats. In order to perfect it he needed the help of someone who is just as smart as him and the only person that smart is him. In the end he was defeat by classic and modern Super Sonic.
